ABOUT

Bryony Ella is an interdisciplinary artist working somewhere in the liminal space between science and spirituality.

She paints, leads ‘wild drawing’ walks and creates public artworks with academics and activists. She also writes about her fascination with embodied ecology as both a creative practice and a philosophical framework for understanding human & more-than-human worlds today.

Her works celebrate the human body as an experience that is porous, organic and intimately connected to all living systems. Through studio research, residencies and interdisciplinary collaborations, Bryony brings different cosmologies together in the search for expansive understandings of community. Her works question human-defined borders and binaries, and celebrate the impossibility of not belonging in (and to) the natural world.
